St Louis, MO, January 11, 2002 – TradeHarbor announced today the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to acquire the assets of KeyTrustee of Northern Virginia
The purpose of the acquisition is to merge efforts to develop, market and operate a federated repository of biometric data; create and manage a Consortium to evaluate technology and market acceptance of Voice Authentication. (The Consortium will consist of leading companies in several market sectors that could immediately benefit from a federated biometrics registry with related authentication applications); and secure near term and long term equity financing for TradeHarbor from corporate and/or venture capital sources.
Key Trustee contributions to TradeHarbor include market research; business development with major technology firms; and experience and reputation in launching/growing companies.
The two principals of Key Trustee, Robert Nelson and William Livingston will join TradeHarbor as members of the executive team.
Bob Nelson, VP Partner Development
Bob has 18 years of experience in developing alliances between new ventures and Fortune 500 companies. Most recently he was a co-founder of KeyTrustee, Inc., an early stage company developing a vendor-neutral biometric registry. Prior to KeyTrustee he served as Entrepreneur-in-Residence for the corporate incubator of VeriSign (VRSN) where he developed their Global Voice Registry voice-dialing service. Previously, he co-founded and was CEO of Cross-Media Networks a voice portal and voice email service provider, and was an independent marketing consultant to telecom and Internet companies following marketing positions with MCI and Satellite Business Systems.
William Livingston, VP Services Architecture & Deployment, and Interim CFO
Bill has 21 years of experience in applying leading edge technology to real-world applications. Most recently he was a co-founder of KeyTrustee, Inc. an early stage company developing a vendor neutral biometric registry. Prior to KeyTrustee he was co-founder and CTO of CrossMedia Networks, a voice portal and voice email service provider. In that role he was the primary systems architect for the VeriSign Global Voice Registry project. Before starting CrossMedia, he was the Sr. VP and COO of Entropic, Inc., a leading speech tools and technology company recently acquired by Microsoft. Bill has a BSEE from the University of Virginia and a MSEE from The George Washington University.
